Easy Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies

These gooey, chewy cookies will be your new go-to.  It’s my absolute favorite out of all the chocolate chip cookie recipes I’ve tried.

Why You'll Love This Recipe:

-perfectly gooey & have just the right touch of tangy sourdough flavor

-no need to long-ferment at room temperature

-easy to make

What You'll Need:

-1 cup browned, unsalted butter -3 egg yolks -3/4 cup sugar -3/4 cup dark brown sugar  -3/4 cup sourdough discard -salt -vanilla extract -baking soda - baking powder

Use a small saucepan.  Do NOT skip this step, or you will end up with cakey cookies. Once the butter is golden brown, remove it from heat.

1

Add the sugars to the large bowl with the brown butter and mix.  Doing this before adding the egg yolks prevents them from scrambling when coming into contact with the hot/warm butter.

2

Whisk the all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together in a separate bowl, and then add the dry ingredients to the large bowl of wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
